OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY PROBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OCT (optical coherence tomography)probe whose distal end part can be fixed to a site to be observed. SOLUTION: The OCT probe (100) which is inserted into the body through an insertion part flexible tube of an endoscope for obtaining optical information for obtaining a tomographic image obtained by OCT from the site to be observed in the body is provided with a fixing means for fixing an optical fiber (106) to the vicinity of the site to be observed lest the distal end of the optical fiber provided at the OCT probe is substantially and relatively moved with respect to the site to be observed. The fixing means is a skin tube (108) of the optical fiber for fixing the distal end of the optical fiber (106) to the vicinity of the site to be observed by deforming it so as to be pressed to the vicinity of the site to be observed. The skin tube comprises: a fixed part which is fixed to the distal end of the optical fiber; a movable part which slides along the optical fiber; and a deformed part which is provided between the fixed part and the movable part and pressurized by the movable part to be deformed by pressing to the vicinity of the site to be observed.
