METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECEIVING AN ADAPTIVE WEIGHT STTD

The present invention disclosed a method for receiving an adaptive weight STTD (Space Time Transmit Diversity). The method according to the invention comprises at least the steps of: a) calculating a medium judgement variable value for each signal by using a maximum likelihood principle after the signal from a transmitter was received by a receiver; b) the medium value being linear-converted in order to calculate a final judgement variable value for each signal according to a given linear conversion matrix and factor thereof. The present invention also disclosed an apparatus for receiving an adaptive weight STTD. The method and the apparatus can improve the capability of a receiver in an adaptive weight STTD system, remove interference and advance the whole capability of the system.
