<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for detecting precisely a double of printed matter in a process of printing, regarding a rotary offset press. <P>SOLUTION: This equipment for detecting the double of the rotary offset press is provided with a measuring device 10 which picks up the image of a printing space and outputs printing elements of the space as signals, a processing device 20 which selects the signals of the same printing elements on the individual spaces, compares the selected signals between the spaces and detects a difference in a distance of sticking of ink in the printing direction between the spaces and an output device 21 which outputs the difference in a position of sticking of the ink.
