<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which is hardly affected by variation in volume resistance value of a transfer roller, an intermediate transfer body, etc., has a stable rate of transfer in one print, and also has small density variation values of a document and a print. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device is equipped with image carriers by colors of yellow, magenta, cyan, and black, a developing means of developing latent images formed on the respective image carriers with respective corresponding color toners, a primary transfer means of transferring respective toner images formed on the image carriers to the same intermediate transfer body one over another, a secondary transfer means of transferring the toner images formed on the intermediate transfer body one over another together to transfer paper, and a fixing means of fixing the toner images. The device is equipped with a control means of estimating the amounts of sticking toners per unit length in the circumferential direction on the image carriers and controlling a primary transfer current and/or a secondary transfer current according to the estimated toner sticking amounts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
