<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize both gradation stability and grain-like texture reduction over the durability life of an OPC (organic photosensitive compound) photoreceptor system and to prevent degradation in image quality in a mode of attaching great importance to gradation reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: The pixel density of image data which are transferred to an exposure device, for example, the number of lines, resolution, image operation clock, etc., in the mode of attaching great importance to degradation reproducibility (photographic mode or the like) is altered according to the film thickness of the photoreceptor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
