PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component measuring instrument capable of measuring a blood sugar value, or the like, in a living body without damaging the living body, especially capable of obtaining a precise measured result without regard to a pressing condition of a probe. SOLUTION: This instrument comprises: an irradiation optical fiber 2 for transmitting light from a light source and irradiating an object to be measured with the light from its distal end part; a scattering body 4 arranged at a position in the neighborhood of the distal end of the optical fiber to scatter the light emitted from the irradiation optical fiber; a light-receiving optical fiber 3 for receiving the light which is emitted from the irradiation optical fiber and scattered by the object to be measured from its distal end part; a probe body 1 which holds the distal end of the irradiation optical fiber and that of the light-receiving optical fiber in a prescribed position relation and supports the scattering body; and a spectrum detection part for detecting a spectrum of the light received by the light-receiving optical fiber.
