PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field emission display device capable of increasing electric field emission areas around emitters, decreasing a driving voltage, increasing the amount of electron emissions, blocking electric field variations for each pixel caused by a data voltage to thereby prevent the neighboring effect phenomenon, minimizing dispersion of the emitted electron beams, improving picture quality, and improving screen brightness by applying a high voltage to an anode electrode while reducing the possibility of arcing between cathode and anode electrodes. SOLUTION: The field emission display includes a band-shaped gate electrode formed on a first substrate, an insulation layer formed over an entire surface of the first substrate covering the gate electrode, cathode electrodes formed over the insulation layer and having field enhancing sections that expose the insulation layer at respective pixel regions, electron emission sources formed on the cathode electrodes adjacent to at least one side of the field enhancing sections, and a light-emitting means formed on a surface of a second substrate and realizing images by means of electrons emitted from the electron emission sources.
