PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting limited receiver and an external limited receiving module capable of executing a pay data storage service having a copyright protecting function for dealing with encrypted data without exchanging the already existing digital broadcasting receiver main body. SOLUTION: In an external limited receiving module 2, a scrambled stream inputted from a digital broadcasting receiver main body 1 is descrambled by a descrambling part 21, and encrypted while mutually authenticated and stored through a limited reception control unit 22 and a stream separating part 24, in an outside data storage card 3 having a copyright protecting function under the control of a data storage card control unit 26 with a copyright protecting function. Also, the data fetched and decoded from the data storage card 3 are encrypted through a stream multiplexing part 25 and a limited reception control unit 22 by a stream encrypting part 23, and outputted to the digital broadcasting receiver main body 1.
