PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation device in which the exchange of a photoirradiation lamp is facilitated and the breaking of a connector is prevented. SOLUTION: The light irradiation device having the light irradiation lamp 4 for subjecting the water to be treated which is introduced into a reaction vessel 2 to a light irradiation treatment has a flange 3 attachably and detachably disposed in the reaction vessel 2 and a lamp holder 1 for holding the light irradiation lamp provided with a socket section 6 for connecting to the connector 5 attached to the light irradiation lamp 4.
