PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a protein, by which the protein from which the expression of the active protein has been difficult by conventional recombinant protein expression methods in host organism systems or cell-free translation systems can efficiently be expressed and easily be purified, to provide the fused protein produced by the method, and to provide the protein. SOLUTION: This method for producing the protein, comprising subjecting genes comprising chaperonin gene and the target protein gene to transcription / translation treatments to express the target protein as the fused protein in which the target protein is linked to the chaperonin through peptide bonds, is characterized in that in the fused protein the chaperonin is contained as the N-fold linked product (N is 1 to 20) wherein the same or different kind of the target protein is linked to the N-terminal and C-terminal of the chaperonin.
