PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-face grinding method and a device high in working precision. SOLUTION: This one-face grinding method is a method to grind a grinding surface on one side of a work W by a grinding wheel 2 by positioning the work W between the grinding wheel 2 and a pressure roller 10 for not grinding and giving a lead-in feed in the axial direction to the grinding wheel 2 and/or the pressure roller 10, and it grinds the work W by forcibly rotating the work W with a work rotating member 19a between the grinding wheel 2 and the grinding roller 10 by holding the work W in a pocket 23 of the work rotating member 19a in a loose fitting state.
