PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Kana/Katakana input device which is used to input voiced consonants, semi-voiced consonants and various sentences, by which they can be easily inputted and which improves the efficiency of inputting characters. SOLUTION: When a numerical key with a plurality of Kana/Katakana characters assigned is pressed down to display a desired character on the screen of a display part 14, and if the key depression is performed for a longer time, selection candidates for a semi-sonant mark (°) and a sonant mark (") are displayed on the screen of the display part 14. When the semi-sonant mark or the sonant mark is selected by pressing down the same numerical key as the key used for inputting the character to determine the input character, the selected semi-voiced sound or voiced sound is attached to the input character, converting the character into the character with the semi-voiced consonant or voiced consonant.
