PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality, small-sized and low-cost image-heating device that reduces the jam occurrence rate by lowering the amount of curl in a sheet, and facilitates the jam processability when a jam occurs, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the image-heating device. SOLUTION: The device has a heating body 14; a pressure roller 11 which forms a heating nip with the heating body 14; a pressure means 8 for forming the nip; an image heating means for heating an image by holding an image carrying sheet with nips and conveying the sheet; a heated nip part drive means 70 for holding the sheet with the image carried thereon with the nips and conveying the sheet; a pair of rollers 41 and 51 for conveying the sheet to a sheet conveyance downstream position of the image heating means; a roller pair drive means 72 for driving the rollers; and a drive transmitting means 71 which connects the heated nip drive means 70 and the roller pair drive means 72.
