PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a crank angle signal at a real time and to obtain an angular position signal free from the limit in being used in the same operation processing without impairing a degree of freedom in setting. SOLUTION: The setting of a standard position in the rotating direction of a crank shaft 1 on the basis of the time series positional relationship between a crank angle signal detected by an crank angle sensor 10 by using a crank rotor free from missing parts on a plurality of projecting parts 3 and a cam angle signal detected by a cam angle sensor 20 by using a cam rotor 12 having one projecting part 13, can be properly changed in accordance with a rotating speed of an engine. Thereby the crank angle signal can be generated at a real time, and the angular position signal free from the limit in being used in the same operation processing can be obtained without impairing a degree of freedom in various operations and the setting such as timer setting.
