PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely ensure tip support force of an a wide-flange shape steel pile for temporary work used as a soil retaining pile, an intermediate pile, and an earth retaining pile in earth work to shorten construction term and reduce construction cost. SOLUTION: A steel plate 12 having a rectangular shape enveloping a cross section of pile bodies 11, 21 or a shape wrapping the rectangular shape is attached to a lower end of the pile body 11 made of the wide-flange shape steel. A stiffener 13 connecting the steel plate 12 and the pile body 11 mutually and a protruding member 14 protruding onto a lower side of the pile from a bottom face of the steel plate 12 are provided as required. Moreover, a through hole 12h is drilled in the steel plate 12, and a spacer 15 is attached to a predetermined section on a side face of the pile body 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
