PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an alkenylphosphorus compound from a hydrogenated phosphonic ester, a hydrogenated phosphinic ester or a disubstituted phosphine oxide as a starting raw material using an inexpensive catalyst. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an alkenylphosphorus compound such as an alkenylphosphonic ester, an alkenylphosphinic ester, or an alkenylphosphine oxide compound comprises reacting an acetylene compound with a hydrogenated phosphonic ester, a hydrogenated phosphinic ester or a disubstituted phosphine oxide in the presence of a catalyst comprising nickel.
