PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a worker to easily move on a riding type seedling transplanter equipped with step covers on the front, left and right sides of a seat, while making the vehicle width as narrow as possible. SOLUTION: The riding type seedling transplanter is characterized in the lateral width of a front part 202a of the step cover 202 being narrower than the distance between left and right front wheels 15 in plan view of the vehicle body, a central part 202b of the step cover 202 being wider in lateral width than the distance between the left and right front wheels 15 in plan view of the vehicle body and being provided with a substantially flat step surface from the front side of the seat 21 to the left and right side parts, and the step cover 202 being positioned at the upper part of the left and right front wheels 15 with its periphery inclining toward the outside in the left and right directions as it approaches the rear side in plan view of the vehicle body, and the lateral width of a wide width part of the central part 202b which is more toward the rear side than the narrow width part of the front part 202a on the front side of the inclining periphery being structured to become wider in a step form.
