<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which the rotation of a developing roller is never reversed when trouble is removed by cutting off transmission of a driving force between the developing roller and a driving source if a trouble occurs during conveyance of a recorded medium. <P>SOLUTION: A drum driving gear 112 and an idle gear 114 of a two-stage gear engage the driving shaft 111 of a DC brushless motor 110. A drum driving small gear part 112a engages with a transmission gear 27b of a photoreceptor drum 27 and a small-diameter gear 114a is connected to a 1st clutch gear 116 of an electromagnetic clutch 117 through the idle gear 115. Further, a 2nd clutch gear 118 transmits the driving force to the developing roller through driving force input parts 120 and 70. Since the electromagnetic clutch 117 enters a nonoperation state in case of a jam and the driving force is not transmitted between the 1st and 2nd clutch gears 116 and 117, the developing roller is never driven by the rotation of the photoreceptor drum 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
