PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulator and a simulation method by which simulation is accelerated by reducing a number of processing processes required for changing an input signal in simulation by means of a peripheral mcro-simulator. SOLUTION: The simulator is provided with a CPU simulator 10, one or more peripheral macro-simulators 20 and a synchronization executing control processing part 30 for controlling synchronization execution of these. When the signal input to a terminal based on simulation by the CPU simulator 10 is changed, the peripheral macro-simulators 20 executes simulation based on the terminal signal. The peripheral macro-simulators 20 detects the change of the input terminal signal, registers the changed terminal signal in a terminal signal list 22 and executes simulation only about the registered terminal signal.
