PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seeder for seedlings to be supplied to a rice transplanter, with no occurrence of missing stocks and/or unplanted stocks in rice transplanting activities because of including a seeding roll with an unconventional circumferential uneven design leading to uniformly and longitudinally arranged sown seed rice. SOLUTION: The seeder includes the seeding roll whose uneven design is such one that circular recessed grooves are arranged in parallel on the outer circumferential surface and each of the grooves is set with partition walls to provide recesses enough to contain one or several number of seed rice in each thereof, wherein the height of each of the partition walls is somewhat lower than the top end of each of the grooves.
