PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a narrow guide functioning to separate grain culms at a reaper, overhung left and right and set freely containably through making use of a space and designed not to interfere with grain culms under conveyance. SOLUTION: A narrow guiding mechanism is such one that a means 6 for making an outside opening/closing drive of the narrow guide 5 functioning to separate grain culms to be reaped is mounted in front of a left side traveling crawler 16a and on the mount frame of a transverse transmission case 12a set up projectedly upward on the left side of a lower transmission case 12 functioning to gear the reaper 3, wherein the lower transmission case 12 and the transverse transmission case 12a are set up at a grain culm-conveying section.
