NOVEL GENE ASSOCIATED WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Novel polypeptide whose incidence rate is higher in the synovial tissue of human rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients than in the synovial tissue of human osteoarthritis (OA) patients; a polynucleotide coding for the polypeptide; a vector comprising the polynucleotide; a transformant cell comprising the vector; and an antibody to the polypeptide. Further, there are disclosed a polynucleotide having at least 15 bases which specifically hybridizes with the polynucleotide; a testing method useful for diagnosis of RA; and a testing kit useful for diagnosis of RA.
