<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a photocatalyst film on the surface of an object such as an existing structure with good on-site applicability in such a way as to satisfactorily ensure photocatalytic function and durability, to reduce scattering loss of photocatalyst powder and to increase coating weight on the surface of the object. <P>SOLUTION: A thermal spraying material W is arc-melted by an arc spraying means 10, atomized and blown away by an atomizing gas. Carrier air containing photocatalyst powder is blown from a powder blowoff nozzle 22 attached to the arc spraying means 10. The opening 22a of the nozzle 22 is situated in a jetted flux ϕ<SB>1</SB>of the atomizing gas, accordingly the photocatalyst powder is thoroughly included in the flux ϕ<SB>1</SB>and blown on the surface of the object 1 in combination with the atomized thermal spraying material to form a film 1a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
