PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect a magnetic body such as a staple binding manuscripts. SOLUTION: A magnetic field sensor arranges coils 31 and 32 as detection coils on one face 22 of a substrate 21, and arranges coils 51 and 52 as excitation coils on the other face 23. The coils 31 and 32 are serially connected with a wire 35. The coils 51 and 52 are serially connected with a wire 55. A core 36 consisting of an amorphous foil extends toward the center of the coil 32 from the center of the coil 52, extends along the face 22, and extends from the center of the coil 31 to the center of the coil 51.
