PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of terminal members and to provide a battery terminal mechanism requiring no special circuit for determination of a battery type in an electronic apparatus having the battery terminal mechanism capable of compatibly mounting and using different type batteries different in electrode arrangement, shape, size, and usage number. SOLUTION: In the apparatus having the terminal mechanism compatibly connecting two or more kinds of batteries B1 and B2 with different electrode arrangement and a power receiving part receiving supply of power from the electrode in the battery connected to the terminal mechanism, the terminal mechanism uses a terminal, which is connected to the electrodes of the same polarity in respective batteries when each of the different kinds of batteries is connected, in common by means of a single shared terminal member 11, while terminals connected to electrodes of the other polarity in the respective batteries are constructed of separate dedicated terminal members 12 and 13.
