PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion conductor excellent in ion conductivity, alkali ion transport number, physical strength and electrochemical stability, easy to handle, made tough and thin though hard and good in productivity, and a radical polymerizable composition being a precursor of the ion conductor. SOLUTION: The radical polymerizable composition includes at least an alkali metal alkoxide represented by the formula : M<SP>1</SP>OR<SP>1</SP>(M<SP>1</SP>: an alkali metal, and R<SP>1</SP>: an alkyl group) and an organosilicon compound represented by the formula : R<SP>2</SP><SB>x</SB>Si(OR<SP>3</SP>)<SB>4-x</SB>(R<SP>2</SP>: a functional group having a radical polymerizable ethylene bond, R<SP>3</SP>: an alkyl group and x : an integer) or a hydrolysate thereof. This composition is cured by heat or the irradiation with active radiation to form the ion conductor. When this is used as a solid electrolyte, a secondary cell used over a long period of time and excellent in reliability can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
