PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select a program which a viewer wants even if channels displayed are large in the number. SOLUTION: Program information are extracted each of which is respectively extracted from channel number discriminating information, broadcast information, length information representing a broadcasting start time and broadcasting hours of a program, and program category information for, respectively, the channel number, broadcasting date, broadcast start time and broadcasting hours of a program, and a program category belonging to the retrieved program. When a program selection screen is outputted with a date and a time as parameters, the channel number, extracted by a channel number extracting means, is collectively displayed/outputted for each program category set at a program category setting means by an output means.
