HEAVY METAL DECREASING AGENT AND METHOD FOR DECREASING HEAVY METAL USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel heavy metal decreasing agent capable of easily removing and reducing soluble heavy metal from an object to be treated such as waste and to provide a novel method for easily decreasing the soluble heavy metal from the object such as waste by using the heavy metal decreasing agent. SOLUTION: The heavy metal decreasing agent has aerobic thermophilic bacteria or the mixed bacteria having the optimum activity temperature of≥85°C, or a cultured body thereof as an effective component and comprises a fermentation product produced by subjecting the organic raw material to aerated fermentation. Therein, the aerobic thermophilic bacteria or the mixed bacteria, or the cultured body thereof is added to the organic raw material. In the method for decreasing the heavy metal content of the object to be treated, the aerated fermentation is performed by mixing the heavy metal decreasing agent or the organic raw material to which the heavy metal decreasing agent is added and the object containing the heavy metal.
