PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of minimizing a cyclone dust collection part and attaining the improvement in operability of disposal of dust or the prevention of failure in an electric blower. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner has a suction port body 4 having an intake port, the electric blower 1a for generating intake air, a connecting pipe 3 connected to the brush body 4, and the cyclone type dust collection part 5 arranged between the connecting pipe 3 and the electric blower 1a, which whirls the intake air carried from an inflow port 5a to separate dust, and discharges the resulting intake air from an exhaust port 5b. In this cleaner, first and second dust collecting chambers 7 and 8 for receiving the separated dust are concentrically provided through a partition wall 9 having an opening part 9a.
