PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for magnetic resonance imaging which finishes scanning within a breath-stopping period which can be obtained by once breath-stopping and which can apply a desired pre-pulse while keeping high time resolution. SOLUTION: In a pulse sequence to be used for this magnetic resonance imaging, an encoding quantity of an encoding tilted magnetic field pulse is set so that a data collection position on a space (k) may move to a distant place from a center of the space (k). Repeating of application of a pulse string including a high-frequency exciting pulse, the encoding tilted magnetic field pulse and a reading tilted magnetic field pulse is set so that the number of times of data collection may increase with reduction of a distance from an area to the center of the space (k) and so that a ratio of the application of the pre-pulse to the application of the high-frequency exciting pulse is set to be lowered with going from the center position of the space (k) to a position outside of it. By using this pulse sequence, e.g. three-dimensional dynamic scanning of an imaging MRA (magnetic resonance angiography) is carried out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
