PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm the current heat-retaining condition in detail by displaying the detailed process in heat-retaining and the process time in real time in a display means in a rice cooker and warmer with the display means for displaying the condition of the heat-retaining operation. SOLUTION: The thermal rice cooker has the display means 17 for displaying the condition of the heat-retaining and a time measuring means 14 for measuring the elapsed time. The heat-retaining process is started by a starting switch 12 provided in an operation means 13, and the heat-retaining is controlled by a control means 11.
