<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which interrupts the excitation of a motor without breaking a motor driver circuit even if a transport unit is extracted at unexpected timing. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic device is equipped with a unit which has the motor electrically connected to a device main body through a drawer connector and is loaded in the device main body in a freely insertable/extractable state; the motor driver circuit which drives the motor; a control part which outputs an exciting signal for controlling the motor driver circuit; and a unit insertion/extraction detecting means which detects the unit being inserted into and extracted from the device main body. The electronic device cuts off the exciting signal outputted to the motor driver circuit before the drawer connector is disconnected after the unit extraction from the device main body has been started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
