<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording element, which gives excellent optical density and favorable image quality and stability and has an excellent drying time in the case that printing is performed with a dye base ink. <P>SOLUTION: Th inkjet recording element includes a support carrying an image accepting layer. The inkjet recording element includes a metal hydroxide salt represented with formula (M<SP>2+</SP>)(OH)<SB>a</SB>(A<SP>P-</SP>)<SB>b</SB>xH<SB>2</SB>O, wherein M<SP>2+</SP>is at least one metal ion under the oxidized state of 2+, A is an organic anion or an inorganic anion, p is 1 or 2, x is at least 0, a and b form rational numbers satisfying inequalities 0<a<2 and 0<b<2 and, at the same time, balancing with the charge of M<SP>2+</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
