<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery having high mass and capacity energy, stably maintainable throughout an entire period of use. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium storage battery includes a cathode, an anode containing a carbon material with crystallinity > 0.8, and an electrolyte comprising the mixture of at least two kinds of aprotic organic solvents including a first solvent having a high dielectric constant and a second solvent containing low viscosity and lithium salt. The electrolyte also contains a soluble compound which is the same kind as at least one kind of the solvents while containing at least one unsaturated bond, and which can be reduced in the anode by higher potential by 1 v than lithium to form a passive state layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
