PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase shear force and abrasion resistance, enhance continuity of mowing operation and exhibit excellent mowing performances. SOLUTION: A plastic cord for mowing is composed of a plastic tubular body 2 and a core 3 arranged in the center of the plastic tubular body 2 and integrally bonded thereto. High-strength fibers are used as the core 3. An adhesive is interposed between the plastic tubular body 2 and the core 3. In the process, the core 3 is coated with the adhesive and the core 3 coated with the adhesive is covered with a plastic material according to an extrusion method for the molten plastic material.
