PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device wherein ink corresponding to ink consumption in a sub tank is timely replenished in just enough quantity. SOLUTION: The device is provided with: a recording head having a head to discharge ink, and a sub tank which supplies ink to the head and has a float set on an ink level and a switch to stop ink replenishing by contact with the float; a main tank to replenish ink to the sub tank; and a replenishing means for replenishing ink from the main tank to the sub tank.
