PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent outflow of ink mist from a vent formed in the waste ink tank of a waste ink treating unit. SOLUTION: A hole 90 communicating with the atmosphere and a tube insertion hole 88 are surrounded by an isolation wall 120 standing on the back surface of a lid member 82 in the waste ink treating unit 42 wherein the isolation wall 120 abuts, at the forward end thereof, against a waste ink absorbing member 94 thus eliminating a gap causing leakage of ink mist. A filter 122 covering the hole 90 communicating with the atmosphere is provided at the part surrounded by the the isolation wall 120 and ink mist does not leak to the hole 90 communicating with the atmosphere even if a gap occurs between the isolation wall 120 and the waste ink absorbing member 94.
