PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently stick a label to a thinner end in an article such as a tubular container (TC) having two ends with different thicknesses. SOLUTION: A transport device 50 is constituted of three lines of belt conveyors (BC). A pair of BCs 53, 54 having a transport face S are arranged at both side line. A BC 51 having a transport face S1 of the same height with the transport face S is arranged as a prior BC in the central line. A BC 52 lower than S is laid next to the BC 51. The width of central BCs 51, 52 is made nearly equal to the width of the cap Tc of the TC T. The cap Tc is supported by the BC 52 and both ends of the bottom Tb of the TCs T are supported by BCs 53, 54. A label peeled by a scraper 20 is initially stuck to an article and press-fitted by a press roller 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
