PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated optical film which realizes the directional control of transmittance that infrared rays are not reflected uniformly, and are transmitted in winter and not transmitted in summer from the viewpoint of the effective use of energy, which does not absorb the intercepted infrared rays but reflects them, and further which has transmission characteristic that a neutral achromatic state is shown in a visible light area and high transmittance that large dimming is not found in the visible light area, and to provide its use. SOLUTION: The laminated optical film has a function to make circularly polarized light in the same direction incident on a wavelength region being≥800nm and≤2000nm and reflect a light beam which is not made incident on both surfaces of a phase difference film whose front phase difference (perpendicular direction) is about zero in the wavelength region being≥800nm and≤2000nm and which shows the phase difference value of 1/2 wavelength in a direction where the light is made incident obliquely from the set perpendicular direction. The optical film can be used as an energy saving reflector, an anisotropic infrared filter and an infrared cut filter plate or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
