PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor for detecting a boundary surface between oil and water in an oil water separator etc. SOLUTION: A plurality of detecting rods are mounted to and controlled by a controller 6, and a control circuit, a capacitor 10, and an analog switch 11 are incorporated to the controller 6 as shown in Figure 1. A serial CR circuit is constituted in the order of the output from the control circuit; the capacitor 10; the analog switch 11; the detecting rod 1; and the resistance of water A.
