PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale and a tape measure which enable easy recognition and selection of a specific installation hole, from two or more installation holes formed in a strut of a housing rack base on EIA standards. SOLUTION: A long scale 1 which is used for selecting the specific hole from the two or more installation holes formed in the strut of the housing rack based on EIA standards, is provided with center graduations 5 of units, auxiliary graduations 6 of the units, and unit numbers 9. The center graduations 5 are cut at intervals of 44.45 mm, and the auxiliary graduations 6 are cut at positions separated from the center graduations 5 by 15.875 mm on both sides of the center graduations 5.
