PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the selective retraction and extension of the writing tip part of a writing body through the tip opening part of a barrel by pressing a push button member and the easy push button action by a simple structure even in the case that the same color is repeatedly used. SOLUTION: In the multi-lead writing utensil having a retracting and extending mechanism with a rotary cam enabling the writing tip part of a writing body to retract and extend through the tip opening part of the barrel by pressing only one among a plurality of writing bodies at a position eccentric to the axis center of the barrel with the pressing part of the pressing member interlocked with the push button member by pressing the push button member arranged at the rear and part of the barrel with a plurality of the writing bodies arranged therewithin, the pressing part of the pressing member interlocked with the rotation of the push button member can be positioned to the rear end part of one of a plurality of the writing bodies.
