<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize efficient optical communication by avoiding an optical reception unstable period wherein a reception circuit of a master apparatus is unstable due to variations (start / stop or the like of light emission) of a light emission state of a slave apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical wireless communication system comprising a trunk line side optical wireless communication apparatus (master apparatus) connected to a trunk line network and an optical wireless communication apparatus (slave apparatus) at a terminal side connected to a terminal and performing half duplex optical communication, the master apparatus is provided with a slave apparatus light emission detection means 38. When the slave apparatus light emission detection means detects the variations (start / stop or the like of light emission) of the light emission state of the slave apparatus, the master apparatus performs processes such that the master apparatus does not approve a transmission application received from the slave apparatus for a prescribed time, does not transmit an optical channel idle notice signal denoting the presence of an idle optical channel to the slave apparatus, and transmits an optical channel transmission stop signal for stopping transmission of a signal from the slave apparatus to the optical channel to the slave apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
