<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of accurately displaying the remaining amount state of a developer even after being left as it is for a long period. <P>SOLUTION: After a laser printer 1 is left as it is for a long period, the remaining amount state of a toner decided based upon the detection result of a toner sensor 81 in warming-up operation before image forming operation and the last remaining amount state of the toner (stored in an NVRAM 95) in image forming operation carried out right before warming-up operation are compared with each other and the larger remaining amount state is displayed on a display panel 93. Consequently, the remaining state of the toner can accurately be displayed even if the toner sensor 81 detects a remaining amount state less than the remaining amount state of the toner which should originally be detected since the toner in a filling room 28 becomes hollow owing to the long-period leaving state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
