PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile information terminal where a user can adjust the direction of a display screen so as to direct the screen to the line of sight of the user by freely adjusting the direction of the display screen and the horizontal tilt even when the user grips the mobile information terminal with a single hand while the main body of the terminal is tilted in a state of providing ease of operation through the use of the thumb in the case of mail communication or document creation or the like wherein the user operates pushbuttons or the like while viewing the display screen. SOLUTION: A display section having the display screen is connected to the main body in a way that the display section can be turned around its longitudinal axial line and tilted toward at least either of left and right directions with respect to the longitudinal axis line of the main body.
