PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic mold for casting with which the local part of the metallic mold can efficiently be cooled and the cost can be suppressed. SOLUTION: The metallic mold 10 for casting, is constituted by providing a cooling jacket 51 which can pass through cooling water, and including a cooling passage 52 in this cooling jacket 51 so as to be possible to locally cool a cavity surface 22 with this cooling passage 52. An insert 21 in the metallic mold 10 for casting, is constituted of the combination of first to fourth copper alloy members 33-36 and first to fifth ferrous members 23-27 having lower thermal conductivity than that of the first to the fourth copper alloy members 33-36.
