PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new transcranial ultrasonic therapy apparatus of for heads which can dissolve thrombus in a cerebral artery by irradiating it with ultrasonic waves from outside of the head. SOLUTION: The transcranial ultrasonic therapy apparatus 10 consists of an ultrasonic probe 11 for irradiating the head of a therapy objective person A with the ultrasonic waves; a high-frequency oscillator 12 for generating high-frequency current of 250 kHz to 850 kHz; a controller 13 for controlling the high-frequency oscillator 12, or the like; and a cooler 15 for cooling an ultrasonic irradiation surface of the ultrasonic probe 11. The ultrasonic probe 11 is brought into close contact with one of the outer sides of the head of the person A, and the high-frequency current outputted from the high-frequency oscillator 12 under control by the controller 13 is supplied to the ultrasonic probe 11. The controller 13 controls output of the high-frequency current to control ultrasonic output and intermittently supplies the high-frequency current to intermittently irradiate the ultrasonic wave to the head of the person A for dissolving the thrombus.
