<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device provided with the structure possible to use a previously installed single main motor with the simple control without raising a cost. <P>SOLUTION: The driving means 24 for releasing engagement of a transmission gear 17, which transmits the rotary driving force of a main motor provided in a main motor housing 11 with the operation for opening or closing a part of a wall part of a printer to a driven member 6A, and a gear 6A1 of the driven member 6A in the predetermined condition independently of opening/closing condition of an opening/closing part 1A is provided.
