<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print using black inks suitable according to types of print media. <P>SOLUTION: A printing head has two nozzle constellations for black ink for firing two kinds of diverging black inks, respectively. As two kinds of inks, a primary black ink suitable for a primary specific print medium to which a coloring matter of ink is comparatively easy to fix, and a second black ink suitable for a second specific print medium to which coloring matter of ink is comparatively hard to fix are used. A high image quality of printing can be realized by carrying out the printing with the use of black inks suitable according to types of print media. The number of nozzles of the nozzle constellation for discharging the primary black ink is made two or more times the number of nozzles of the second nozzle constellation, so that high-speed printing is enabled when the primary specific print medium is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
