REINFORCED PLASTIC MATERIAL AND REINFORCED CONDUIT WHOSE OUTER CIRCUMFERENCE IS PROTECTED WITH REINFORCED PLASTIC MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost reinforced plastic material and a reinforced conduit with outer circumference protected with the reinforced plastic material.

SOLUTION: The reinforced member 13 comprising the reinforced plastic material using a waste material of an optical fiber cable for a raw material, is provided around the outer circumference of a conduit 12 and formed into the reinforced conduit 11. The use of the waste material of the optical fiber cable for the raw material can lower the cost, and the recycling of the waste material can prevent environmental pollution and save the waste material disposal cost. A naked optical fiber comprising the optical fiber cable is coated with resin so as to improve the adhesion between the naked optical fiber and matrix resin. The coating resin has low elasticity so that the resin can absorb an impact from the outside to hardly damage the naked optical fiber in its inside. The use of this material as the reinforced member for the conduit to be buried underground can prevent the damage of the conduit in an excavation work at a low cost.
